Please buy a copy of our JCHS Arty Zine “The Flea”. It contains lots of great art by our students, funny cartoons, and other neat stuff. This is our second issue this year, and we’re really hoping it does well. It’s only $1, and the money goes to buy art supplies for the classes.

Hi there old and new students! Hope you had a restful December break, and are looking forward to a semester of art fun.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Photography- students need their cameras by Thursday the 12th.
Art Club -The next meeting is the 20th of January, a photography clinic. You don’t need to bring anything with you. We will also be taking pictures for the yearbook.
Painting- Don’t forget you will be happiest with your own smock.
Tests Dates- test 1 Jan 19, test 2 Feb 2, test 3 Feb 16, 3rd 9 wk exams Mar 7-9, test 4 Mar 22, test 5 Apr 12, test 6 Apr 26, 4th 9 wk exams May 10-16
Extra Credit- right now you can bring in clean baby food jars (with lid) or plastic laundry scoops for two test points each. These points can be added to any test score. Accumulate as many as you like!
Parents- any questions please don’t hesitate to email me, it’s the best way for me.
