I want to share quick updates on two great contests for high school students sponsored by the Savannah College of Art and Design.

• The Utrecht 6^th Annual Self-Portrait Contest deadline is December 4.  The fabulous prizes are a scholarship to SCAD Summer Seminars (grades 9-11) or a gift card and package (for seniors)!  Please see this website for details:  http://www.utrechtart.com/contest/scad_contest_09.cfm

• Also, SCAD has extended the deadline for the Georgia High School Drawing Competition and the Georgia High School Writing Competition to November 9th at 5:00 p.m.  Find out all the details and submit your students’ work online at this link:  http://www.scad.edu/admission/pre-college/drawing-writing-competitions.cfm

The Scholastic Art and Wriing Awards are something you really ought to check out.
They award over $10,000 in scholarships (usable at any school) to Seniors annually.
Plus they have a scholarship network with over 60 schools and over 3 and a half MILLION dollars in scholarships available. If you’re looking for a creativity-based scholarship-this is the place! 

The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) is offering 17 an 18 year old high school students:
