I want to share quick updates on two great contests for high school students sponsored by the Savannah College of Art and Design.

The Utrecht 6^th Annual Self-Portrait Contest deadline is December 4. The fabulous prizes are a scholarship to SCAD Summer Seminars (grades 9-11) or a gift card and package (for seniors)! Please see this website for details: http://www.utrechtart.com/contest/scad_contest_09.cfm

Piedmont College is sponsoring F.A.C.E. The Fine Arts College Experience
Nov. 12-13 & Feb. 4-5, ‘09-’10 for 11th and 12th grade students.
It’s for folks interested in majoring in visual arts, theatre, music, etc.
They get to stay in the dorm, eat in the dining hall, visit classes and do activities. Sounds like fun! Piedmont is in Demorest, Ga.

I don’t know much about them, but a new group called Campus Club is starting up in Milledgeville. They will be offering different classes int he arts including creative writing, voice, piano, percussion, recording techniques, dance, photography, and more.
